Eating and Drinking
We have recently developed the Kelly Room to provide catering and Cafe facilities. We are starting to offer pre-event food at selected events. For Details look at the event details.
The Gallery bar is open one hour before evening events. It provides a full range of wine, beer and soft drinks.
Calstock is 7 miles south west of Tavistock just off the A390. It is 18 miles from the centre of Plymouth, which is a 35 minute drive via the A388. Free parking is available in the main village car park and at Calstock station.
Bus route 79 runs from Callington and Tavistock.
You can also come by train to Calstock Station, which is only 2 minutes walk from the Old Chapel. The Tamar Valley lines runs from Plymouth to Gunnislake and is one of England’s loveliest country branch lines. It travels via Devonport, Dockyard, Keyham, St. Budeaux, Bere Ferres and Bere Alston. Train times generally coincide with our performances. Train times can be found here.
Depending upon the tides you can even arrange to come to Calstock by boat.
The main venue of the Old Chapel provides full facilities for the disabled. At present there is no disabled access to the Gallery bar and the Kelly Room. For events where food and drink are available, we are happy to serve disabled visitors in the main auditorium.
